An Autumnal Easter table.

Morning friends. It’s a chilly morning in Johannesburg and I think it’s safe to say that it is now officially Autumn. All previous musings of seasonal change might have been slightly premature. This weekend was definitely on the cooler side and I found myself digging through my winter wardrobe for closed shoes. Today’s brisk morning just confirms my suspicions. The good news is that Autumn also heralds the arrival of Easter weekend. The weather might be a dab dreary, but why not spice things up with a beautiful Easter table this weekend? Florists still have a great variety of blooms. This is the perfect chance to bid the last rays of Summer farewell and welcome the beauty that is Autumn.

This yellow, white and teal palette is perfect for an Easter table that is ready to embrace the beauty of Autumn. The yellow baubles are adorable. I particularly like the rustic feel of the Hessian serviette rings and runner. The table hints at the changing of the season and that Nature might be scaling down for a while, without looking sparse and dull. The white keeps it fresh, while the teal and yellow ad warmth and a dash of fun to the look.

This soft palette is the ideal way to celebrate the last days of Summer. The tie-dyed napkins and tablecloth are a beautiful addition to this table setting. It hints at the seasonal changes while still being vibrant and bright. The soft pink, white and yellow palette reminds me of a sunset. Don’t you think it is apt for a table setting at this time of year? Bidding the old season farewell and welcoming the new?

I love this bold, warm scheme. These colours would look beautiful in a Winter lounge, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Rich yellows, fuchsia and purples are the quintessential Autumn colour scheme.  Why not celebrate the best and the beauty of this season with the hues of falling leaves,a golden savannah and the soft sunlight of the late afternoon.

What have you got planned for Easter? Any beautiful table setting ideas you would like to share?
